Job Description:
As the Divisional Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain for our Orthopedic Business Unit (BU), you will hold a critical leadership role overseeing all operational and procurement/supply chain functions within the Ortho BU on a global scale. You will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency, scalability, and growth to support the ambitious targets of the Ortho BU.
Key
Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership:

    • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all operational functions, including manufacturing operations, procurement, and supply chain management, across the Ortho BU globally.
    • Champion the safety-first mindset and instill a culture of safety throughout the organization.
    • Propagate key operational metrics and goals to drive ongoing continuous improvement and problem-solving strength.
    • Develop and implement strategies to foster the development of future operations leadership within the organization.
  • Business Partnering:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and own the ongoing business strategy for the Ortho BU.
    • Develop an Operations process, sourcing, and performance roadmap aligned with the business and commercial strategy.
    • Manage and perform to an annual Operations budget, including revenue, cost savings, profitability, capital investments, and inventory levels.
    • Support the development and transfer to manufacturing of new orthopedic products, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
  • Operational Excellence:

    • Instill a metric and results-based operational culture at all manufacturing sites, regularly reporting and driving continual improvement of key performance metrics.
    • Improve manufacturing processes and plant capacity optimization across the enterprise.
    • Mature strategic sourcing and procurement organizations to secure more robust supply chains and better utilize resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; MBA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 15
    years of progressive experience, including 7 to 10
    years of leadership experience in key operations roles, with a focus on manufacturing and supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of driving operational transformation initiatives, including global footprint optimization and scalability.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management, cost optimization, and financial reporting.
  • Experience in the healthcare or medical device industry preferred.
